Compared to the Category Blog layout, the Category List layout provides a more basic view of category contents. Instead of a series of intros and links, the visitor is shown only a number of links to categories and/or articles.
How do you make such a list page? The steps are basically the same as the ones involved in creating the Category Blog menu links. Navigate to Menus | Main Menu | Add New Menu Item and select Category List as Menu Item Type. Provide the necessary details (select a target category and type a link title) and you're done.
