Applying Materials to scenes

Earlier, you acquired knowledge on generating fundamental Materials through the Material Editor. Understanding the creation of Master Materials and Material Instances is crucial, as they serve as the foundation for developing Materials in Unreal Engine.

In this final section, let’s delve into expediting the process of generating and applying Materials to your scenes without starting from scratch. You have the advantage of accessing numerous pre-made Materials already available for use in Unreal Engine. These Materials can be found on the Unreal Engine Marketplace and can also be accessed through Quixel Bridge.

Downloading Material packs from the Unreal Engine Marketplace

Let’s first browse the Unreal Engine Marketplace to identify and download Materials that might be useful for our virtual film:

  1. Open the Epic Games Launcher and select the Marketplace tab.
  2. In the Search Product… window, type Automotive Materials...
