Creating individual shots using the Level Sequencer

In Chapter 4, we created the first sequence (the spaceship interior) with four camera shots and the second sequence (the space scene) with a single camera shot. Then, in Chapter 5, we created the third sequence (the planet), which consists of four camera shots.

In this section, we will revisit these individual shots to add a virtual camera for each of them, and in the following sections, combine all these shots into a Master Sequence. The plan is to use the Master Sequence > Sequence > Shot method covered in Chapter 4. Let’s start:

  1. Open the A_New_Beginning project.
  2. Then, in the Level folder, double-click to open the INT_Spaceship Level. Press 1 to go to Bookmark 1 (the spaceship flight deck view).
  3. In the Cinematics folder, create a new Level Sequence by right-clicking, and then selecting Cinematics | Level Sequence. Rename it Shot_01 and double-click the Level Sequence to open it.
