In this chapter, we learned how to work with some modifiers in Blender to add more detail to the robot model. Some of those modifiers are simple to use, but they can really help to improve the model without adding new geometry. We learned how to deal with hooks, which aren't modifiers but will always be added to the modifier stack when applied to an object.
Here is a list of subjects that we have learned in this chapter:
How to add details to objects using modifiers
How to work with the bevel, array, and simple deform modifiers
The importance of adding chamfered edges to models
How to add hooks to vertices
How to deform curves by using hooks
How to create and connect objects with the array modifier
How to add deformations with the simple deform modifier
