The head of the model will be made by a cube as well, but with a few additions and changes to create a set of eyes that emit light. We will use a feature of LuxRender that uses mesh objects to emit light energy, and it will produce a nice glowing eyes effect. To start the modeling, add a cube to the scene and in edit mode with a face loop cut, add a new edge loop in the center of the cube. Select just half of the model and erase the vertices, adjusting the remaining objects to fit the reference image.
With the face loop cut, add the following edge loops to the object:
With two extrusions, create the shape of the eye, and finish the head with a mirror modifier.
