Getting started

Preproduction encompasses all of the work needed before we actually start animating, including story, mood boards, concept art, and storyboards. The preproduction files are done to get you started faster and can be perused in ch10_storyboards.blend.

Preproduction

The story is a simple riff on the animated shorts about the concessions stand that would prelude movies back in the day. A happy girl is out on the town to see a movie and gleefully buys her ticket. She walks right past the concessions stand, where an anthropomorphic bag of popcorn is crying. It's sad because it wants to see the film too. The kid buys the popcorn and takes it into the theater. The punchline: the bag of popcorn realizes its horrible...
