Playing with shapes in Figma

You are already familiar with many of the basic tools in Figma, but so far, you have not tested them much. This is not a problem, as you will try out every useful feature actively, which you will start doing right now. And you don't have to worry about knowing any advanced tools to create a wireframe; all you need is simple geometric shapes.

Basic shapes

As you already know, the top toolbar has a Shape tool that allows you to add different geometric shapes that you can then edit on the canvas. Besides basic shapes such as ellipses and rectangles, you can use more complex ones. For example, the Star tool creates a classic five-pointed star by default, but the element can be edited after it is added to the canvas. You can change the number of the star points, increasing or decreasing them by clicking the Count handle (Figure 4.2) and dragging the cursor up or down:
