Viewing sales data

Once you’ve shipped your orders, you’ll probably want to see which products and categories that the customers are interested in. When you have this data, you can buy more of the most profitable and fastest-moving products. Luckily for us, WooCommerce recently improved this experience quite a bit!

Since the first version of this book, WooCommerce revamped their admin experience. They started the project with WooCommerce 4.0 (https://developer.woocommerce.com/2020/03/10/woocommerce-4-0-is-here/) and it was fully merged with WooCommerce 6.5 (https://developer.woocommerce.com/2022/05/10/woocommerce-6-5-released/). That’s over two years of work of completely updating the admin experience and reporting within WooCommerce. If you tried WooCommerce reports before 4.0, it’s worth taking another look at the new and improved reports in WooCommerce.

We’re going to look into some basic data, which you can see at a glance on the Orders...
