Creating and removing movie scene cut markers
Instead of creating the markers manually, Logic Pro can extract the markers from the entire movie or from a selected area. The markers that are created are referred to as movie scene cut markers and are SMPTE-locked.
To create markers based on an entire movie, go to Navigate | Other | Create Movie Scene Cut Markers | Entire Movie:

Logic Pro will analyze the entire movie for all the scene cuts and create movie scene cut markers that are locked to a SMPTE position.
However, creating movie scene cut markers by selecting a smaller, specific range is more commonly used because extracting markers from an entire movie will create a countless number of random markers that are not all usable. Using a smaller section of a movie will give more precise and better results in the end.
