Sumit has been involved in early agriculture spraying pilot projects and was a part of Aerial Spraying on the Locust which hit Rajasthan in 2020.

Methods of connecting a drone

Connecting a drone to the GCS is the primary step that should be followed before proceeding with any further steps. As a common understanding, we can only access the internal parameters and program the drone once we are connected to it via either a USB cable or a radio frequency module. There should be proper communication between the drone, the GCS, and the remote control. It is incredibly important for the pilot to provide the right settings and methods to connect the drone, which we can see in the following screenshots. Additionally, it is highly recommended that you read and go through the manufacturer manual or datasheet for the drones you are using. We will go ahead with an RFD900 model and a serial connection:

  1. Click the Connect icon on the top bar of the dashboard (or from the home menu) to connect to the drone.
