Automating an EC2 instance deployment

Let’s take a look at an example Terraform configuration file that will allow us to build an EC2 instance:

    region = "us-east-1"
}
resource "aws_instance" "my-server-1" {
    ami                                   = "ami-09d56f8956ab235b3"

Terraform files are saved with a .tf filename extension, and as for the actual name, you can call it whatever you wish. I named mine terraform_example_1.tf.
