Although you can create particles in Papervision3D, it does not include an elaborate particle system. A Flash particle system that can be used in conjunction with Papervision3D is Flint, which was developed by Richard Lord. Flint is a well-structured open source library, which allows you to create all kinds of effects such as explosions, fountains, fireworks, and falling snow.
The next section will show you how to download Flint and how to create a fountain of Papervision3D particles.
The home of Flint offers information, examples, and tutorials, and can be found at http://flintparticles.org/.
Similar to Papervion3D, you can download an SWC with the compiled code or a ZIP with the source code. You can also download the code through SVN. The SVN repository is at: http://code.google.com/p/flint-particle-system/source/checkout.
To work with the ZIP or SWC, go to the Downloads section and download the featured version of either one...
