This view shows all the sessions waiting for a lock. It correlates a blocked transaction to the blocking one.

Fields

The most relevant view fields are as follows:

  • WAITING_SESSION: The ID of the waiting session

  • HOLDING_SESSION: The ID of the session holding the lock

  • LOCK_TYPE: The type of lock

  • MODE_HELD: The locking mode held

  • MODE_REQUESTED: The locking mode requested
