Security is one of the most important aspects in IT. In general, if we discuss security, we can say that all security stuff can be applied to any case. In the context of IoT, we also can enforce common security keys in an IoT environment.

There are a lot of security challenges in IoT. The following is a list of some of them:

  • Secure IoT devices
  • Authorizing and authenticating devices
  • Managing device updates
  • Securing communication
  • Ensuring data privacy and integrity
  • Detecting vulnerabilities and incidents

Some IoT devices have their own security guidelines from their principles to harden their security issues. In this chapter, we focus on IoT security focussing on AWS IoT. Some security challenges will be addressed in this chapter.
