For this chapter, I have picked an object that represents a real challenge for any 3D artist—a complex robot that changes its shape and transforms itself into another object. Both objects that we have modeled in the previous chapters have their own difficulties and challenges, but this one will be the real modeling and animation challenge.
In a project that deals with a vehicle or object that walks around, we only have to worry about the movement of one object and set up the parenting of the model to fit only one dynamics. As it's a compound object, the modeling will actually be a double-sized project, and we will have to think about two models of the same type during the modeling. Otherwise, the transformation and animation in which the robot turns into a vehicle won't work out later.
