GenAI with Vertex AI

Vertex AI provides a variety of tools and resources to help you get started with GenAI. You can use Vertex AI Model Garden to explore the different GenAI models that are available and to get help with setting up and using these models. You can also use Vertex AI GenAI Studio to experiment with GenAI models and to create your own prompts.

Understanding foundation models

Within the Vertex AI environment, you will encounter what are termed “foundation models.” These are essentially GenAI models defined based on the nature of the content they are engineered to create. The categories of models available within Vertex AI span across a diverse range, including, but not limited to, the following:
