Diagrams and maps
In web design, you often have a need to show some more technical information and/or organizational charts, site maps, and sometimes diagrams. Inkscape gives you the ability to create these easily and then export for use on the Web. Here are some simple examples of what we are going to create in this chapter:
- Diagram: It is a graphical representation of information. There are a number of diagram types such as Venn, Activity, Tree, Network, and more. Inkscape can help create all kinds of diagrams.
- Site tree/Site map: A site map (or sitemap) is a list of all the individual pages of a website. Typically the site map outlines how each page is linked to the others. Sometimes it is used primarily for planning, but sometimes it is also used to help website users find where they need to be on the site.
