The second step in the model development process is to build the Contributor application by using the Analyst template model. You, as a Contributor administrator, build the Contributor application using the New Application Wizard.
The terms "model" and "application" are used interchangeably in practice. In many organizations, a modeler can perform the role of a Contributor administrator, while in other organizations these two roles are separate.
