Summary

In this chapter, we comprehensively covered structured data, its properties, types, real-world use cases, some key considerations, and best practices for data modeling for structured data. We explored SQL basics, provided examples of SQL queries for various use cases, including e-commerce, social media, library, and music streaming platforms, and demonstrated how SQL queries can efficiently retrieve relevant data from structured databases.

Throughout this chapter, hands-on scenarios and SQL challenges were presented, encouraging you to apply your knowledge of data modeling and SQL to real-world use cases. In the next few chapters, we will look at some of these Google Cloud databases for structured data in detail with real-world hands-on use cases.
