Summary

And that's a wrap. We started the book by learning the basic concepts of Android Things and how to set up a developer kit to then use the components of the Rainbow HAT, explore the different protocols that are used, and play with other components that are commonplace in IoT projects.

In this last chapter, we took a glimpse into what makes Android Things really powerful (besides the security updates policy) and that is all the libraries and resources that are at our fingertips. We have explored just a few, from adding UI to our devices to simple methods for communicating with a companion app or even a backend service. We also peeked at image classifiers and voice assistants. Finally, we presented some interesting online resources.

By now you should be able to find your way into any IoT project that you had in mind and make it a reality with Android Things.

Happy hacking...
