It's time to work or fetch a model to represent our enemies. We have two options, model our own or get them from the Internet (either buy them or get them for free). We will show you how to work with a free model downloaded over the Internet.
With a simple Google search, you'll find a trillion sites to get 3D models from. They can come in different formats and sizes, with or without animations, and with one or more animations. We will get a model from www.3drt.com, and download the free alien test model from http://3drt.com/store/free-downloads/free-monster-character.html.
As you can see in the preceding image, the formats included are varied. We are mostly interested in FBX, but there's a variety of formats that Blender can import in case Fbx-Conv doesn't read it, so we can then export to FBX.
This ZIP file contains an FBX, so we can convert it directly.
