Client APIs 


There are various client APIs available to add data to Solr indexes. This table shows the available client APIs:

Language

Description

Python

There are two output formats:

  • The first output format is specifically designed for Python 
  • The second format is JSON

Java

A library named SolrJ is available for working with Java

Ruby

A specific output format for Ruby is available and this extends the JSON format

JavaScript

Out-of-the-box support for JSON is available, which makes it very easy to work with JavaScript
