Along with your Raspberry Pi, you'll need the following parts for the projects in this chapter:

  • A copper strip board (or Veroboard®)

  • An LD1117V33 voltage regulator

  • A 2 x 100nF, 16V ceramic capacitor

  • A 10uF, 16V electrolytic capacitor

  • A 1 x MCP23017 16-bit port expander IC

  • A 4 x 10K-ohm resistor

  • A hook-up wire
