Edge computing

Edge computing is a distributed computational model that plays a crucial role in the realization of the Metaverse by enabling real-time, immersive experiences. The key function of edge computing is to perform processing at the “edge” of the network, which could encompass a local computer, an IoT device, or an edge server located closer to the origin of the data. The primary benefit of this methodology is the reduction in the need to shuttle huge volumes of data between the user’s device and the cloud as it processes data nearer to its source.
