Summary

In this chapter, we covered some of the key points an organization should consider when formulating its cloud services purchase plan. A proper Microsoft 365 licensing management
plan requires a careful understanding of an organization's requirements and user profiles. In particular, organizations should seek to understand the benefits (directly or indirectly) that a service can provide from productivity, collaboration, security, and compliance perspectives. These benefits are typically articulated to make the case for purchase. This chapter showed you the importance of mapping business requirements to selling points or features in the Microsoft 365 platform to ensure the right services are acquired.

In the next chapter, we'll dive deeper into understanding the purchase and payment subscription models that are available.
