Section 3: Tekton Triggers
To take the CI/CD automation one step further, it is possible to add Tekton Triggers as part of the Kubernetes cluster. Tekton Triggers is a sister project of Tekton Pipelines that lets you automatically start Pipelines based on actions in a code repository such as a commit to the master branch.
In this section, you will start by installing all the necessary tools to enable Tekton Triggers. Once this tooling is ready to be used, you will also need to configure your server and Git repository to enable your new triggers.
Once this configuration is completed, you will tackle some hands-on examples on how to create a trigger inside your cluster and how to configure your Git repository to send the webhooks that will start the pipeline.
By the end of this section, you will have an understanding of how Tekton Triggers works and where it fits in your CI/CD systems.
