This chapter was about implementing the IoT using Python programs. We made BeagleBone connected components available on the Internet. First we made a web app that was showing temperature read by BeagleBone. Then we used the POST
method to turn an LED attached to BeagleBone on and off remotely. We found REST is a popular standard for implementing the IoT. So, we created a small restful app that changes the angle of the servo motor based on the value provided in the URL. We wrote a program to auto-shoot e-mail when BeagleBone detects a temperature above the threshold. Then we looked at free cloud services to store, analyze and visualize sensor data. We wrote a program to store and visualize our temperature sensor data on the cloud service ThingSpeak. This concludes the book. We will see some important short topics in Appendices.
