Summary

This brings us to the end of the chapter. We have learned that SQL string functions are useful for manipulating and working with string data in SQL statements. These functions can be used to concatenate strings, find the length of a string, trim leading and trailing spaces, extract a portion of a string, and convert the case of a string. We also learned how important it is to be familiar with the string functions available in SQL and to understand the syntax and use of each function to effectively work with string data in your database.

In the next chapter, we will learn about null values, which are a very common occurrence in a SQL database, and it is important to handle them appropriately when doing data wrangling. A null value represents missing or unknown data, and it can cause issues if not properly dealt with.
