First, it is important to underline that there are several generations of blockchain on the market. The Bitcoin blockchain is considered the first generation, a very secure and decentralized infrastructure, which is why more and more miners are joining the network, but with low performance in terms of processing transactions and weak upgradability; in other words, users cannot do much more with Bitcoin's blockchain than send Bitcoin.
