Understanding the considerations for CSPs

As a CSP, you will have multiple tenants who are using your Azure Stack Hub. Each of these tenants will have a CSP subscription in Azure, and you must direct the consumption from Azure Stack Hub to the relevant subscription in Azure.

To be able to charge your customers for the use of your Azure Stack Hub resources, then the following steps will need to be undertaken:

  1. The CSP partner creates a CSP subscription for the tenant.
  2. The CSP partner onboards the tenant to Azure Stack Hub.
  3. The tenant obtains a local subscription.
  4. The CSP partner adds the tenant subscription to the registration process.
  5. The tenant uses Azure Stack Hub resources.
  6. Azure Stack Hub forwards usage meters to Azure commerce.
  7. Azure commerce bills CSP, with details per tenant.
  8. CSP processes the details for tenant billing.
