Microsoft Purview in Azure

Microsoft Purview in Azure (previously called Azure Purview) is a unified data governance solution that can be used across Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications, multi-clouds, and on-premises data locations.

Microsoft Purview in Azure enables you to gain insights and stay informed on your distributed data landscape through the following features:

  • Data discovery automation
  • Mapping of an entire data estate
  • Classification of sensitive data
  • Lineage of data end to end
  • Data storage and usage insights
  • Data access management at scale
  • Data security environment

The target audience is data producers, data consumers, and data officers.
