Exploring QMC Publisher components in detail


We have installed QDS a couple of times now—once as part of a single QlikView Server installation and once as part of an enterprise installation on its own server (Server4). When we add the Publisher license, the QDS changes from a simple reload engine to the fully-functional QlikView Publisher. This process adds a number of tabs into the QMC. We have already seen some of these during the initial setup and configuration in the previous chapter. Now, we will look at the new tabs in detail.

System setup

In the previous chapter, we saw some of the system setups, where we configured the folders for the Publisher on the General tab. We will have a look at this tab a bit more now, as well as the other tabs.

General

On the General tab, we have already seen the Source Folders option, where we added several folders that we had configured to hold our QVW files (refer to the Creating the Publisher folders section in Chapter 5, Installing QlikView Server Enterprise...
