As consumers, we all like to see what we might purchase, whether it's in a store or online. In the same way, users like to see something before they fully commit. Often, this means that a prototype or proof of concept (POC) must be built.
It's hard to sell something that can't be seen or touched. Fortunately, it's possible to build a prototype quickly with QlikView, and this can be shown to the potential user audience. If you have already worked with the user to understand the data sources and likely features, this step would follow on quite easily. It is possible that you do not have access to the real data sources, and you could be using a subset of data that is in a spreadsheet or flat file. This is fine; however, never build on the prototype code—throw it away! We'll explain why you should take this approach.
