This chapter covers different types of benchmarking tools that can be used in your Hadoop environment. At the end of the chapter, you should have a clear understanding of the different open source benchmarking tools available for different Hadoop components, such as HDFS, Hive, and YARN. You should also refer to the links given in the chapter for a more detailed understanding of each of the respective benchmarking tests.

In the next chapter, we will study some details of Hadoop security concepts that are being used across the world. In next chapter, we will also learn about authentication and authorization in Hadoop.
