Foreword

Oracle's BPM Suite is a part of Oracle's Fusion Middleware (FMW) family of products. Oracle has been working on BPM technologies for many years, and has integrated various technologies from multiple acquisitions and its core FMW products into the current release of Oracle BPM Suite PS6 (11.1.1.7).

Oracle's BPM Suite is well-suited to work in the Financial Services Industry due to the time-sensitive nature of this business. Oracle's BPM Suite can be used to automate and monitor many common business processes, in order to increase the end customer's satisfaction leading to increased overall profitability.

This book contains a series of examples, highlighting how Oracle's BPM technology can be applied to some very common and recognizable business processes in the financial services industry. This is a great tool for someone in the financial services industry to use to become more familiar with Oracle's BPM offering.

Madhusudhan Rao has worked at Oracle for over five years, supporting customers in a variety of industries, including financial services. Prior to joining Oracle, Madhu worked at HCL Technologies. Madhu works from Oracle's offices in Bangalore, India and supports Oracle's North American customers. He has extensive experience with Oracle's BPM Suite, as well as Oracle's overall FMW Suite.
