Offenders’ behaviors, tactics, and methods

Child pornography offenders like to lurk on Dark Web forums to share their interests, desires, fetishes, and experiences abusing children, in addition to sharing, trading, and selling images. Also, offenders enjoy watching other people who are blatantly exploiting children in the most brutal ways. Dark Web communities related to individuals with an attraction to Child Sexual Exploitation Material (CSEM) give users access to the following:

  • Child sexual abuse content
  • A chance to connect with like-minded people
  • A feeling of acceptance and belonging
