OmniGraffle comes installed with 30 stencils. These range from common shapes—much the like one you worked with in your first diagram—to complex shapes for space planning.
The built-in stencils are grouped in various folders or collections—stencil folders. Later in this chapter, you'll learn to add stencils from external sources.
The seven stencils in this group are a collection of ready-made connections, color, and texture fills, font examples, and various shapes.
The connection stencils contain various arrow configurations that can be used to connect shapes. Using these stencils is a time saver compared to creating the various shapes manually. This stencil has both straight, curved, orthogonal, and Bézier enabled arrow lines.
You have two basic diagramming stencils, which cover some shapes – with or without magnets. When you created your first diagram, you could have used the shapes with the magnets instead of making your own magnets.
