You can directly ship Docker containers to your cloud environments. Chef and Puppet help automate your server and application deployments. These tools treat infrastructure as code, and you can version and test your infrastructure just like any application. These tools will work both on-premise infrastructure and cloud platforms such as Amazon EC2 and OpenStack. In addition, you can use AWS CloudFormation with Chef and Puppet.
