Continuous change and why we need Zero Trust

We are living in an age of continuous change in our lives and our work.

Everyone’s life has been changed by the technological breakthroughs of our time. The internet and computer technology have changed communication, work, and entertainment in our society. These changes aren’t letting up, and the rate of change is accelerating, promising to continuously change our lives for the foreseeable future.

A recent example is the COVID-19 pandemic, where many people quickly found themselves working from home instead of commuting to an office. This shift drove new business models, new technologies to support those models, new societal norms, and new evolutions in threats to business assets. Zero Trust security is designed for this world of continuous change.

Mark has presented at numerous conferences including Black Hat, RSA Conference, Gartner Security and Risk Management, Microsoft Ignite and BlueHat, and Financial Executives International.

Nikhil is Founder at ApTSi with prior leadership roles at Price Waterhouse and other firms. He has led setup and implementation of Digital Transformation and enterprise security initiatives (such as PCI Compliance) and built out Security Architectures. An Engineer and Computer Scientist with a passion for biology, Nikhil is an expert in Security, Information, and Computer Architecture. Known for communicating to the board and implementing with engineers and architects, he is an MIT mentor, innovator and pioneer. Nikhil has authored numerous books, standards, and articles, and presented at conferences globally. He co-chairs The Zero Trust Working Group, a global standards initiative led by The Open Group.
