Data retention
Different types of data are likely to have different retention periods, and this will be outlined in the relevant site policy (see the Specifying a privacy policy section earlier in this chapter). Data retention periods will be specific to your organization, so any data retention periods specified in this section should be treated as examples only. Rather than repeat what you will find for free in Moodle’s online documentation, in this section, we’ll highlight settings you should be considering for your organization.
Under Site administration, navigate to Users, and, under the Privacy and policies heading, click on Data registry. The Data registry page will be displayed:
