Extending canvas solutions using Mixed Reality

Mixed Reality is a technology that allows us to extend beyond device screens and into our living spaces.

This skill can bring solutions to different scenarios such as:

• Measure hard-to-reach areas or distances while adding this information to a data source
• As a medical equipment representative, being able to show the equipment to the hospital in Mixed Reality to check for fitting measurements
• Represent furniture in your living room to see if it will fit your style

Canvas apps allow building applications for these scenarios using three Mixed Reality controls: view 3d content, see shapes with pre-established dimensions, and perform measurements using Mixed Reality.

This recipe will take a more personal approach. We recently discovered that our water heater got broken. Its location is hard to reach because it is behind the washing machine and the dryer. It was then that I turned to Augmented Reality...
