Creating virtual networks
Azure Virtual Networks (VNets) serve as virtual data centers, providing a secure and isolated environment to group and manage resources such as virtual machines and databases. VNets are comparable to AWS Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), both offering IP address management, subnets, and networking security. VNets can span multiple regions (different than AWS VPCs), enabling use cases such as disaster recovery, regional load balancing, and multi-region deployments.
In this recipe, we’ll guide you through defining and provisioning a VNet in Azure. This is a critical step in building a secure and scalable foundation for deploying your Azure resources:
