Technical requirements
All the examples in the book can be reproduced by you. For this chapter, you only need a Linux system with internet connectivity.
If you’d like to do it yourself (DIY), the requirements for installing Ansible include the following:
- A Linux virtual machine (VM) with either of the following distributions:
- Ubuntu 22.04 or higher
- Internet connectivity for the VM
Alternatively, Chapter 16, The Lab, serves as a controlled hands-on environment to facilitate a consistent reproduction of all the steps and recipes included in the book. The packaged VM the lab spins up has the following installed and ready to go:
- Ansible (Ansible Core and Ansible community)
- Access to network lab equipment is installed, and a topology is provided.
- The topology includes Arista, Nokia, and Juniper containerized network operating systems that we will use throughout the book. Ansible AWX is shown here...
