Microsoft's intention of making PowerShell open source is very loud. Now, PowerShell supports different platforms, and it will soon become the de facto scripting and automation tool because of its several in-built capabilities. Despite of AWS's own CLI, AWS supports on PowerShell is an indication that they see PowerShell is a universal shell. The installation of AWS Tools is simple. This chapter was particularly focused on getting PowerShell 6 and installing AWS Tools on PowerShell 6.
