Installing Autodesk Fusion 360
Modeling a robot in Autodesk Fusion 360 to export to a ROS 2 URDF model has the following prerequisites.
The first prerequisite is to install Fusion 360 if it is not already installed on your machine. We can install Fusion 360, which is primarily supported in Windows, but there is an experimental project that can also help with Fusion 360 in Linux. Experimental projects may not be fully stable. Here is a link to install Fusion 360 on Windows [26]. Fusion 360 is free for students, educators, hobbyists, and some startup companies. The installation is straightforward in Windows. The main hardware requirement while working with Fusion 360 is a good GPU, preferably from NVIDIA. If you want to try the experimental Fusion 360 setup in Ubuntu, you can refer to the following project [27]. After setting up Fusion 360, you may have to sign up for an account that will help you to upload and share the CAD model over the cloud.
