Understanding the hardware documentation
When working with a dev-board, it’s essential to have the hardware documentation handy. This involves finding and downloading dozens of PDF documents, and also storing and organizing them. It is a formidable task, as the dev-board, MCU, and CPU each have their own documents, including data-sheets, user manuals, and reference manuals.
Appendix B lists the primary documentation related to the dev-board and its components. Over 30 PDF documents are listed, and over 25 web-pages. In reading the book and working with the example programs, it is very helpful to have these PDF documents downloaded and accessible. If Adobe Acrobat Reader is used, storing the documents in a single directory can be useful to search across all documents.
