To understand hunting versus executing you must first understand that FreeSWITCH breaks calls up into various states for processing. Every call in FreeSWITCH goes through these states – beginning a new channel, routing of the call, executing actions on the call, ending the call, reporting on the call, and finally killing the channel and all associated memory.
