In this project, we will discuss different options available for automation at home using Raspberry Pi. The examples use a similar concept (more or less) and you can pick the tasks of your choice and turn your home into a smart home.

Why is it awesome?

A quick web search yields a lot of projects related to home automation using Raspberry Pi. We have tried to keep this project unique by ensuring that it is simple enough to be executed over a weekend (though some examples might appear repetitive if you have been reading through the projects in their correct order), while incorporating feedback from projects available all over the Web.

Your objectives

We will discuss the following examples in this project:

• A simple example that controls limited indoor and outdoor lighting in the evening

• A customary web server example

• Turning on a lawn sprinkler only when there is a no rain forecast!
