Summary

This chapter introduced the Append node as a method of joining data files that contain similar fields for separate groups of records. You also learned how to use the Filter node to remove or rename fields. Finally, you were introduced to the Merge node to join data files that contained different information for the same records.

In the next chapter, we will continue to work on our data preparation skills so that we can extract more information from the data. Specifically, we will learn to how to use the Derive node to create various types of additional fields.
