Time for action — set up FusionMaps for our first map
1. Create a folder called
FusionMaps
under theLearningFusionCharts
folder. This folder will contain all the SWF and JavaScript files of FusionMaps, which are the FusionMaps Core Files. If you are working on a web server, create this folder under the root of the web application, so that the entire web application can conveniently access this.2. For the sake of ease, copy and paste all the SWF files from your FusionMaps Installation Folder (the place where you had earlier downloaded and extracted the
FusionMaps
ZIP file) |Maps
to the newly createdFusionMaps
folder.3. Copy and paste
FusionMaps.js
from FusionMaps Installation Folder |JSClass
to theFusionMaps
folder.4. Create another folder under
LearningFusionCharts
and name it asLearningFusionMaps
. This will be used to store XML data and HTML files for all the maps we create in this chapter.
